DET 118 Supervised Practice II (4 Credit Hours) Class Hours: 0 Lab Hours: 0 Clinical/Work Experience Hours: 12 Prerequisites: Take DMA 050 DRE 098 Corequisites: Take DET 116 and DET 117 This course is designed to provide the required hands on experience in foodservice, nutrition concepts, and medical nutrition therapy. Emphasis is placed on basic nutrition concepts and education, client needs, and the principles and practices of food production, the detail of food service operations and the roles of safety and sanitation. Upon completion, students should be able to function in the role as a Dietary Manager.
