The primary objective of the Certificate Program of the Civil Engineering Technology curriculum is to introduce students to the employment opportunities in civil engineering technology in general and to surveying in particular. The objective is fulfilled through the study and application of civil engineering technology courses.
Program Learning Outcomes
Graduates will:
- Use knowledge, techniques, skills, and tools to produce engineering documents.
- Apply surveying methods for land measurements and/or construction layout.
- Utilize software to solve civil problems and develop material quantities.
- Function on teams and communicate effectively through writing and visual methods.
- Recognize societal issues, understand ethics and professionalism, and respect for diversity.
