This Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree is a two-year program that prepares students for the workforce. However, there are some senior institutions where all or part of this degree is accepted as the first two years of a four-year program.  Students interested in pursuing a four-year degree should consult an advisor.

Office Management is a track under the curriculum title of Business Administration. The curriculum is designed to meet the demands of business and service agencies.  The objective is the development of generalists and specialists in administrative procedures, communication and customer service, office technology and software, and accounting and financial basics.

Graduates from this program will have a sound business educational base for lifelong learning.  Individuals will be prepared for employment opportunities in corporate offices, government agencies, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses.

Program Learning Outcomes

Graduates will:

  1. Recognize and explain the influence of supply and demand theories in various business situations.
  2. Analyze promotional strategies for various companies and products.
  3. Identify offer, acceptance, and mutual assent as they relate to contracts.
  4. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word by creating, formatting, and managing professional documents in alignment with industry standards.
