This curriculum is designed to give an individual entry-level skills needed to gain employment as a machinist or Computer Numerical Control Programmer (CNC).
It is recommended that students have the necessary math and reading skill before enrollment in this program.
Program Learning Outcomes
Graduates will:
- Demonstrate knowledge and hands-on competencies in manufacturing/mechanical production, computers, CNC lathe and CNC milling machine operation, setup, and programming of EIA (G & M Code) programming code.
- Demonstrate an ability to think critically about technical problems, communicate effectively, and perform as a responsible professional.
- Demonstrate understanding of ethical/social responsibility, respect for diversity, and commitment to quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement.
