This curriculum is designed to give an individual entry-level skills needed to gain employment as a machinist or Computer Numerical Control Programmer(CNC).

It is recommended that students have the necessary math and reading skill before enrollment in this program.

Program Learning Outcomes

Graduates will: 

  1. Demonstrate knowledge and hands-on competencies in manufacturing/mechanical production, computers, manual lathe and milling machine operation, CNC Milling machining operation, setup, and programming of various systems.
  2. Demonstrate an ability to think critically about technical problems, communicate effectively, and perform as a responsible professional.
  3. Demonstrate understanding of ethical/social responsibility, respect for diversity, and commitment to quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement.
