This curriculum is designed to give an individual entry-level skills needed to gain employment as a machinist or (CNC) Computer Numerical Control Programmer.
It is recommended that students have the necessary math and reading skill before enrollment in this program.
Program Learning Outcomes
Graduates will:
- Demonstrate knowledge and hands-on competencies in manufacturing/mechanical production, computers, manual lathe and milling machine operation, CNC Turning machining operation, and programming of various systems.
- Demonstrate an ability to think critically about technical problems, communicate effectively, and perform as a responsible professional.
- Understand ethical/social responsibility, respect for diversity, and commitment to quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement.
