HIS 121 Western Civilization I (3 Credit Hours) Class Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Clinical/Work Experience Hours: 0 Prerequisites: RED 090 Corequisites: None This course introduces western civilization from pre-history to the early modern era. Topics include ancient Greece, Rome, and Christian institutions of the Middle Ages and the emergence of national monarchies in western Europe. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze significant political, socioeconomic, and cultural developments in early western civilization. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement general education core requirement in social/behavioral sciences.
