ANT 221 Comparative Cultures (3 Credit Hours) Class Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Clinical/Work Experience Hours: 0 Prerequisites: None Corequisites: None This course provides an ethnographic survey of societies around the world covering their distinctive cultural characteristics and how these relate to cultural change. Emphasis is placed on the similarities and differences in social institutions such as family, economics, politics, education, and religion. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge of a variety of cultural adaptive strategies. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement general education core requirement in social/behavioral sciences.
