MAT 155 Statistical Analysis (3 Credit Hours) Class Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Clinical/Work Experience Hours: 0 Prerequisites: ENG 090 and RED 090 ; and MAT 080 or MAT 120 or MAT 121 or DMA 010 , DMA 020 , DMA 030 , DMA 040 , and DMA 050 Corequisites: None This course is an introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics. Topics include sampling, distributions, plotting data, central tendency, dispersion, Central Limits Theorem, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, correlations, regressions, and multinominal experiments. Upon completion, students should be able to describe data and test inferences about populations using sample data. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement general education core requirements in natural sciences/mathematics (Quantitative Option).
