The Associate in Fine Arts (A10200) (AFA) degree is designed for students who want to pursue a four-year degree in areas of study such as art, drama, or music. Because the AFA curriculum standard includes only 28 semester hour credits for general education, AFA students who transfer must meet the general educationrequirements of the receiving institution.
Within the degree program, the college shall provide opportunities for the achievement of competence in reading, writing, oral communications, fundamental mathematical skills, and the basic use of computers. Official acceptance into the Associate of Fine Art program will require a portfolio review by the Associate of Fine Art faculty. A culminating show of student work will be required for graduation.
