The Criminal Justice Latent Evidence Certificate provides in-depth knowledge of latent evidence systems and operations . Topics include crime scene processing, trace evidence, investigative photography and fingerprint processing/identification .
Program Learning Outcomes
Graduates will :
- Demonstrate proper crime scene techniques in the securing, searching, handling, collection, and preservation of evidence .
- Identify the techniques used to identify, collect, and preserve trace evidence.
- Utilize various techniques to process crime scenes for fingerprint evidence, including powder and chemical processing, and basic fingerprint identification.
