The Criminal Justice-Organization and Management Certificate provides an in-depth study of the organization and management of criminal justice organizations. Topics include ethics and community relations, management and supervision, civil liability, and administration. The program prepares students with the additional knowledge that is necessary for effective criminal justice agencies and for possible supervisory roles within the criminal justice system.
Program Learning Outcomes
Graduates will:
- Identify and discuss managerial techniques, legal issues, and response procedures to critical incidents.
- Apply ethical consideration to the decision-making process in criminal justice situations.
- Identify the basic components and functions of a criminal justice organization and its administrative operation.
- Explain civil trial procedures and discuss liability issues.
