NUR 114 Holistic Health Concepts (5 Credit Hours) Class Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Clinical/Work Experience Hours: 6 Prerequisites: BIO 168 , BIO 169 , ENG 111 , PSY 150 , NUR 111 , NUR 112 , NUR 211 Corequisites: BIO 275 , PSY 241 , CIS 110 This course is designed to further develop the concepts within the three domains of the individual, healthcare, and nursing. Emphasis is placed on the concepts of cellular regulation, perfusion, inflammation, sensory perception, stress/coping, mood/affect, cognition, self, violence, health-wellness-illness, professional behaviors, caring interventions, and safety. Upon completion, students should be able to provide safe nursing care incorporating the concepts identified in this course.
