MUS 175 Recording Techniques 1 (2 Credit Hours) Class Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 0 Clinical/Work Experience Hours: 0 Prerequisites: None Corequisites: None This course introduces the recording studio from an artistic and operational point of view. Emphasis is placed on audio consoles, microphones, multitrack recorders, and echo chambers. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate understanding of operation and function of recording equipment and its relationship to musician, sound engineer, and producer. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement for transferability as a premajor and/or elective course requirement.
