ENG 275 Science Fiction (3 Credit Hours) Class Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Clinical/Work Experience Hours: 0 Prerequisites: ENG 112 , ENG 113 , or ENG 114 . Corequisites: None This course covers the relationships between science and literature through analysis of short stories and novels. Emphasis is placed on scientific discoveries that shaped Western culture and our changing view of the universe as reflected in science fiction literature. Upon completion, students should be able to trace major themes and ideas and illustrate relationships between science, worldview, and science fiction literature. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement for transferability as a premajor and/or elective course requirement.
