CIV 221 Steel and Timber Design (3 Credit Hours) Class Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 3 Clinical/Work Experience Hours: 0 Prerequisites: CIV 110 or MEC 250 Corequisites: None This course introduces the basic elements of steel and timber structures. Topics include the analysis and design of steel and timber beams, columns, and connections and the use of appropriate manuals and codes. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze, design, and draw simple steel and timber structures.
