EGR 130 Engineering Cost Control (3 Credit Hours) Class Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 2 Clinical/Work Experience Hours: 0 Prerequisites: MAT 121 , MAT 161 or MAT 171 Corequisites: None This course covers the management of projects and systems through the control of costs. Topics include economic analysis of alternatives within budget constraints and utilization of the time value of money approach. Upon completion, students should be able to make choices that optimize profits on both short-term and long-term decisions. Incorporated into the course are concepts covering accounting methodology, cost systems including activity-based costing, and cost estimating practices.
