SOC 100 Concepts in Sociology (3 Credit Hours) Class Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Clinical/Work Experience Hours: 0 Prerequisites: None Corequisites: None This course examines the basic concepts of sociology from the perspective of the individual as a member of society. Topics include an understanding of society, culture, collective behavior, community life, social institutions, social change, and the effect of social life on human behavior. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge of the impact of social interaction on institutions, groups, and individuals. This course is intended for certificate and diploma programs.
