BTC 285 Cell Culture (3 Credit Hours) Class Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 3 Clinical/Work Experience Hours: 0 Prerequisites: BIO 175 or BIO 275 Corequisites: None This course introduces the theory and practices required to successfully initiate and maintain plant and animal cell cultures. Topics include aseptic techniques, the growth environment, routine maintenance of cell cultures, specialized culture techniques, and various applications. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to grow, maintain, and manipulate cells in culture.
